Background Check Information
Anyone ages 18 and up who works with children or youth on behalf of Porter APC, whether volunteer or paid, must complete a background check.
Once your volunteer form is submitted, an automated email will be sent to you with a "Background Check Form" attachment. Please print off the form, sign and scan it back to Emily Cannon at ecannon@porterapc.org or drop it off in her office.
Children's & Youth Worker Application
Anyone ages 18 and up who works with children or youth on behalf of Porter APC, whether volunteer or paid, must submit a "Children's & Youth Worker Application".
Once your volunteer form is submitted, an automated email will be sent to you with the application attached. Please print off the application, sign and scan it back to Emily Cannon at ecannon@porterapc.org or drop it off in her office.
Child Abuse Awareness Training
Anyone ages 18 and up who works with children or youth on behalf of Porter APC, whether volunteer or paid, must go through "Child Abuse Awareness Training".
Once your volunteer form is submitted, an automated email from Ministry Safe will be sent with the link for the training. This training must be complete before the event.
Youth Worker Parental Consent Form
We love our youth volunteers! Please be advised about the following guidelines for youth-aged volunteers to help at VBS.
Ages 16-17 will be assigned to work under the direction of at least two adult volunteers at all times.
Age 15 may only volunteer with their parent or legal guardian who is already a volunteer. The youth volunteer must always accompany their parent or guardian.
Ages 14 and under may not volunteer or be present at APC children’s events.
Anyone ages 15-17 who wishes to volunteer for children's events must have parental consent. Once your volunteer form is submitted, an automated email will be sent to you with the parental consent form. Please print off the form, sign and scan it back to Emily Cannon at ecannon@porterapc.org or drop it off in her office.
